Description

Australia has been waiting for the latest intelligent ‘solar aware’ charger. Not only will Zappi charge your car much faster than the device that came with it, but it will also ensure that all of the power used to charge comes from your solar or wind generation. This 22kw electric home car charger is particularly clever in that it records all energy consumed and exported across all three phases!

Essentially, this device ensures that you will consume all of your self-generated energy rather than selling it back to the grid for pennies on the dollar.

Without PV, Zappi can still function as a standard EV home charging station. You can always add a solar/wind energy system later.

Comes with Tethered Type 2 connector with 6.5m cable. Compatible with all Type 2 makes and model of EVs on the market (yes even Tesla) the EVSE / charger is suited to both domestic and commercial locations.

NOTE: Type 1 EVs will require either a Type 2 to Type 1 adaptor cable with the Tethered Zappi or a Type 2 to Type 1 charging cable with the untethered Zappi.

Charging Modes

ECO
Charge power is continuously adjusted in response to changes in generation or power consumption elsewhere in the home. Charging will continue until the vehicle is fully charged, even if power is drawn from the grid.

ECO +
Charge power is continuously adjusted in response to changes in generation or power consumption elsewhere in the home. Charging will pause if there is too much imported power, continuing only when there is surplus free power available.

FAST
In this mode, the vehicle will be charged at maximum power. This is just like an ordinary Mode 3 charging point.
